NCT: Northern Ireland Places of Worship Forum

28th September 2020 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

The Northern Ireland Places of Worship Forum is an opportunity for churches and organisations with an interest in faith heritage to meet, share, explore ideas and plan towards the future over issues common to the buildings of all faith traditions.

This online Forum presents an opportunity to catch up on the latest developments and opportunities in the Treasure Ireland Project and the wider church sector. Further details will be published nearer the event.

Treasure Ireland is a new project to support historic places of worship in Northern Ireland which will run for three years from 2020 – 2023. If you are responsible for looking after a place of worship, our project will make it easier for you to look after your church or chapel buildings.

The Treasure Ireland Grant Programme will provide grants of between £500 and £10,000 to enable Places of Worship in Northern Ireland to carry out urgent repairs and maintenance. More information on grants here: www.nationalchurchestrust.org/treasure-ireland-grants

The project is being delivered by National Churches Trust in partnership with Ulster Architectural Heritage. Funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, the Pilgrim Trust and the Department of Communities.

The National Churches Trust Northern Ireland Forum meeting will take place ONLINE on Monday 28th September 2020 from 10.00am to 11.30am and will be chaired by Mrs June Butler MBE.

The event is free of charge and anybody involved in historic places of worship in Northern Ireland is welcome to attend. Register your interest today and see how your church might benefit from the Programme in the future.
