Ulster Architectural Heritage, in partnership with Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council on Thursday 25th August and Thursday 15th September is running two specially tailored events relating to the revitalisation of our townscapes.

The Restoration and Renewal: Revitalising our Townscape Heritage events will highlight the work of the Armagh and Lurgan Townscape Heritage (TH) Schemes which have transformed key buildings within the Armagh and Lurgan Conservation Areas, benefitting the direct and wider community.

Shopfronts & Signage

Hands on demonstrations with heritage joiner Jonathan Black of J.B Heritage Joinery who will demonstrate the importance of early intervention and practical tips to prolong the lifespan of your sash windows and general joinery. We will also be joined by John Byrne of Signability who will demonstrate the art of signwriting depicting the skill and charm of traditional shop fronts.  This will be followed by a tour of the Lurgan Conservation Area looking at key buildings in the town.
