Under the guidance of the Hands-On Heritage Project Officer, our 6 selected groups will learn how to use the newly released Recording & Reporting App and In Your Area Webpage to its full capacity. Then, using the Recording and Reporting App, fully supported by UAH, your group will then be asked to respond to the built heritage in your local area, with the opportunity to record, report and/or collect oral histories. Recording and Reporting App submissions will then be used towards the development of Local Lists. Alongside the Heritage Project Officer, your group will assist in the content development (archival research, historic maps, historic imagery etc).

Once comfortable using the Recording & Reporting App, each group will begin the process of devising a Local List for their area. Working closely with the Hands-On Heritage Project Officer, groups will review and discuss the historic buildings in their area. (Characterful, unique qualities to that specific area, quaintness, undesignated vernacular, local associations, part of a grander scheme?)

UAH will also be offering the opportunity to ‘train the trainer’ to help you confidently up skill your group, organisation or others in reading, recording and reporting buildings. We want to inspire and prepare you or your group for future activities, whether this be a continuation of devising local lists, recording and reporting or project planning.
