Online Declaration

Gift Aid is extremely valuable to us as a charity, and allows UAH to claim an extra 25p on each £1 that you give through donations or your subscription. This means that for a £30 Single Direct Debit subscription, we can claim an additional £7.50. All you need to be eligible to Gift Aid is to be a taxpayer (if you are on a pension, you may still be paying tax), and the amount of tax paid in one tax year must be at least equal to the sum of your Gift Aid donations.

I confirm that I have paid or will pay an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for this tax year (6 April to 5 April) that is at least equal to the amount of tax that all of the charities or Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs) that I donate to will reclaim on my gifts for this tax year. I understand that any other taxes such as VAT and Council Tax do not qualify. I understand that the charity will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I have donated. If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self-Assessment Tax Return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust your tax code.

I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference to HMRC.
