Young and Mackenzie NI Libraries’ Tour

April 1 - June 30

Ulster Architectural Heritage is pleased to announce that The Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI)’s exhibition relating to Young and Mackenzie, the Belfast based architectural and civil engineering practice is touring Northern Ireland’s libraries until the end of June 2019 (excluding the month of March)

PRONI holds the extensive archive of Young and Mackenzie (catalogue reference number D2194). The exhibition features some of the uncatalogued drawings within the collection which are currently in the early stages of conservation. Once this has been completed, the drawings will be added to the PRONI catalogue.

The UAH publication, ‘Architects of Ulster: Young & Mackenzie, a transformational provincial practice’ authored by Paul Harron, which was shortlisted for the SAHGB 2018 Colvin Prize is a useful companion catalogue to the exhibition and the practice’s archive at PRONI.  Please see here for further information.  The author will also deliver a one off presentation at Ballyhackamore Library on the exhibition on Monday 17th June between 6:30pm and 7:30pm.

The exhibition is a collaboration with UAH, PRONI and the author/curator.
