**SOLD OUT** An exclusive members’ trip to Edinburgh from Friday 4th October to Sunday 6th October.

Our stay will be based in Leith and will centre on visits to buildings in the Leith and central Edinburgh areas. We will meet on Friday evening for a talk and evening meal in Leith. On Saturday morning we will commence with a tour of the surrounding area with visits to key buildings such as Customs House Leith, Custom Land and other historic sites. We will end the day with exclusive drinks and dinner in the Grade A listed ‘Lamb’s House’ with owners and award winning conservation professionals, Nicholas Groves-Raines and Kristin Hannesdottir with Groves-Raines Architects Ltd. Nicholas is originally from Northern Ireland. There will be a tour of Lamb’s House and you will hear about the recent restoration and appreciate the beautiful period details and character of this 17th Century Hanseatic Merchant’s House.

On Sunday we will transfer our focus from Leith to Central Edinburgh where we will be kindly hosted by the Architectural Heritage Society of Scotland, (AHSS). We will take a guided tour of Calton Hill which will include a talk on the former Royal High School campaign, followed by a walking tour taking us through the beautiful Georgian New Town. Day 2 will be completed with drinks at the AHSS Forth and Borders Treasurer’s house, Mrs Caroline McFarlane, at St. Bernard’s Crescent, late afternoon on the 6th October, allowing time for return travel that evening.

Ticket prices are £275 for a single room per person or £250 for a double room per person sharing. Ticket price includes all meals and accommodation, excludes flights and transfer to or from the airport. There is also a no accommodation option at £120- this will include all tours & meals. The itinerary will be added to, and may be subject to change. Updates will be provided to all those who have booked, or expressed interest in this event.
