Belfast’s much-loved Grand Opera House is due to reopen in early October after a year’s closure for major refurbishment. James Grieve of Consarc, who has played a major role in the project, has kindly agreed to lead two behind-the-scenes tours for UAH members this Thursday morning (26 August), during which he will focus on some of the key heritage and conservation aspects of the project.
The tours will be at 9 am and 10 am and each will last just under an hour. Because of Covid restrictions, each will have to be limited to ten people.
We apologise for the short notice, which reflects the very limited time available before the Opera House has to start staff training and rehearsals for the forthcoming productions.
Tickets will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
