Members Only – Visit to Kilmacrew House & Garden

May 14 @ 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Set amongst a lush, wooded valley, Kilmacrew House exudes an idiosyncratic charm and serene tranquillity that is bound to delight. On Saturday 14th May, members will have the chance to discover this hidden gem and to learn from its owner the house’s history and the ongoing process of Kilmacrew’s restoration.  There will also be the opportunity to view the former farmhouse and to see its original farmyard buildings.

Kilmacrew holds yet another treasure in its magnificent woodland gardens that will be in full array of spring colour for our visit. Last, but not least, Kilmacrew holds a special literary link through its association with the author Helen Waddell. She is commemorated in the Blue Circle plaque above the front door.

Booking Essential, Members only.

Directions to Kilmacrew and further details of the event will be emailed to participants a week before the event.

Suitable all-weather clothing and stout walking shoes will be required. As much of the afternoon will involve walking outside, members are asked to take particular care on uneven/ slippery grass or cobbled areas, especially if wet.
