Heritage Angel Awards ~ Heritage in Song 2018

FreeJoin us at this year’s Heritage Angel Awards 2018 ~ featuring Heritage in Song.

These awards aim to celebrate unsung angels of local heritage, individuals and groups who have rescued an historic building, completed heritage projects, worked as craftsmen or apprentices, or recorded and interpreted a historic place. Lead funded by the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation. Also supported in 2018 by Derry City and Strabane District Council and Department for Communities.
Hosted by Wendy Austin MBE, the awards night will feature specially written material on Derry~Londonderry’s historic buildings led by singer/songwriter, Brigid O’Neill with Eilidh Patterson and Eoin O’Callaghan. We will also be joined by Glenn Patterson.
There will be a free bus departing from Belfast City Centre at 4.30pm from College Square to the Guildhall. To book a place please fill out the form here
Heritage Angel Award Categories 2018:
• Best Rescue of a Historic Building or Place (Under £2M)
• Best Major Regeneration of a Historic Building or Place (Over £2M)
• Best Contribution to a Heritage Project by Young People (25 and under)
• Best Craftsperson or Apprentice on a Heritage Rescue or Repair Project
• Best Heritage Research, Interpretation or Recording
Also featuring Maintenance Awards, Public Vote and Lifetime Achievement for Heritage.
