“Behind the Scaffolding” – Lanyon Conservation Project, Queen’s University Belfast – SOLD OUT!

Visit the Grade A Lanyon Building where Queen’s University is undertaking a comprehensive conservation project. The work includes replacement of decorative stonework and brickwork, refurbishment or replacement of windows where surrounds, mullions and tracery have deteriorated restoring them to their original character and replacement of cracked rainwater goods.

This is a unique opportunity to see conservation in action under the direction of the Consarc Conservation team. The work started in August 2017 and is due to be completed in March/April 2019.

10.15 – 10.30 Welcome and introduction to the project

10.30 – 10. 50  History of the Lanyon Building

10.50  – 11.10  Scope of the project : conservation work

11.15- 12.30  Visit to work in progress
